Talented director Radha Mohan's much acclaimed Prithviraj-Jyotika-Prakashraj starrer Mozhi(Tamil), for which Jyotika bagged the State Award for the best actress from the Tamil Nadu government, is being dubbed in Telugu as Matarani Mounamidi. The Telugu version will be presented by Atchyutha Kanta Rao. Music, composed by Vidyasagar, was released recently.
The film revolves around two fun-loving friends Karthik (Prithviraj) and Viji (Prakashraj), working as keyboard players under a leading music composer in the film industry. They come to live in an apartment where they meet a handful of interesting people including flat secretary Ananthakrishnan (Brahmanandam) and Preethi (Neelima Rani) who is head over heels in love with Karthik.
One day, Karthik meets Archana (Jyotika) on the road and gets impressed by her guts and attitude. Later, he learns that Archana is deaf-mute and living in the same apartment. Karthik falls in love with her and to woo her, he learns sign language from Sheila, Archana's close friend. But things go in an unexpected direction when Karthik proposes to her.
