Mozhi

I just finished watching the Tamil film Mozhi, a second time after 2 years. Mozhi means language in Tamil. And yes, I saw it for Prithvi. :) Now,I have come to love the movie even more. Its a nice movie to watch, its breezy, not diyshum diyshum fightings like other films lol :D. Such a sweet film anyone can watch :).

Main Story: Karthick(Prithviraj) falls in love with Archana(Jyothika),when he sees her beating a guy,who beat his wife for wrong purposes. He comes to know she lives in the same apartment complex as him and his best friend Viji(Prakash Raj)(they both live together). Then one day when Archana's grandmother gets admitted in the hospital Karthick finds out that Archana is deaf and mute. From then on they become friends, and he learns sign language for her. But,one day he proposes to her and Archana rejects him saying that she can't marry him. But when her best friend Sheela(Swarnamalaya) asks her why she tells the truth that: if they have a baby together than it will be deaf and mute like her. What happens after this incident forms the whole story. :)

The movie is just excellent! Its is soooo funny!!! :D Hats of to Jyothika for pulling off such a hard and decent role. It was really cool how fast she did the sign language. Prithvi was awesome too, he was funny at times, serious at times, happy at times, and sad at times. He was everything and he has done the role with perfection. :D Prakash Raj is hilarious in the Comedy scenes, I laughed my guts out in all the comedy scenes! :D There is excellent chemistry between Prithvi and Prakash, they make a funny, but perfect duo. :D Though Jo was older than Prithvi they didn't look that bad by each other, they looked pretty cute :D. Swarnamalaya was just right for the role as Sheele. Her role is kind of like the one she played in Alaipayuthey as Shalini's sis, but I would say this one is better, because she had to do a lot of sign languages and emote very well too. Prakash and Swarnamalaya made a cute couple too, they were decent like Prithvi-Jo. :)

I would definitely say that the music is the highlight of the film after the performances. Since Prithvi and Prakash play music directors in the film, the music has to be really good, which it was. They are hummable and sweet. My favorite song in the film was Kannal Pesum Penne sung by S.P. Balasubramanium, but I also liked the others like: Katrin Mozhi(both versions),Sevanam Selaikati, and Pesa Madanthiye. The lyrics of Katrin Mozhi and Kannal Pesum are something to talk about, they have such wonderful meanings, they talk mostly about how language is not needed to love/or for love. Such touching lyrics, which I adored. :)

The whole movie is memorable to watch, anyone will love it :D Its kind of a sensative subject, but Radha Mohan, the director and writer of the movie, has crafted it perfectly! :)
