Though no big superstar movies are vying for this onam, many small films have already started its onam screening from today. The biggest of the releases, on the basis of no of releasing centres, is Mollywood's 'fighter' director Vinayan's ''Yakshiyum Njaanum'.Though the movie features fresh names in the cast ,it made it to 71 centres all across the state. Harinarayanan's Neelambari'' featuring Bhama has the second best release in the state in 36 centres. While RajeevAnchal's 'Paattiunte Paalazhy'' with Meera Jasmaine and Revathy in two strong roles opened in thirty centres, Sreenivaasan' 'Aatmakatha'' also made it to 26 centres.
The Onam week may also see release of movies like '3 Char Sou Beez' Fiddle'' and Orange which are in the run to get to theatres in a couple of days. Some of these movies may delay due to reasons including non- availability of theatres, as some previous releases like 'Malrvasdy Arts Club', Sakudumbam Shayamala and Apoorvaraagam are still on theatres.
The biggies have been shifted for the next month as a section of the audience tends to keep away from the theatres during the Ramdan periods, especially in the Malabar area.
