It’s an emotional moment: RGV

Ram Gopal Varma, in an emotional tone said, the return to directing a Telugu cinema with his ‘Appalraju’ after 12 years, was an emotional moment to him.

RGV was extremely happy as Nagarjuna and Sri Devi made themselves present to grace the occasion of the launch of his new movie ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakathvam: Appalraju’. He also candidly said that he used to wait in long queues to watch Sri Devi’s movies and jokingly said never for a Nag’s movie.

Nagarjuna, the hero who introduced RGV to Telugu cinema, said he was extremely pleased to see RGV return to Telugu film industry. Nag also added that he saw a few clippings of ‘Raktha Charitra’ and is excited about the movie. He welcomed RGV to the Telugu film industry and said an overwhelming statement that ‘Appal Raju’ should be a bigger hit than ‘Shiva’. On RGV’s entry, Nag also said newer technicians and new directors will come to Telugu cinema.

The chief guest of the occasion, the beautiful Sri Devi came along with her husband Boney Kapoor. She was welcomed with the popular number ‘Ori Bramha Devadudo’ from ‘Govinda Govinda’ and was elated to be part of the event as she has not been present in any of the movie launches that have happened in the last 10 years. She thanked RGV to invite her and it was an opportunity to meet her old friends and colleagues in Hyderabad. Sri Devi ended saying that this movie should celebrate Silver Jubilee and she would definitely be part of that event as well.

Boney Kapoor expressed similar views and wished the film’s unit and hero Sunil all the best.

Sunil’s heroine in the movie is Colours Swathi who was excited to be part of RGV’s movie. She wished the whole team of ‘Appal Raju’, good luck!

It was a grand and pompous affair at Annapoorna Studios for the launch of ‘Appalraju’.
