'Mankatha' attracts Bollywood crowd

Well it looks like 'Mankatha' has hit the bull’s eye in making news. The film is one of the most-wanted projects back in the homeland – Tamil Nadu.

The shooting of the film is entirely through and the post-production team is busy to carry the film forward to the theatres in one perfect foil.

It looks like some Bollywood producers are eyeing 'Mankatha,' to remake it in to Hindi. While the director of this project, Venkat Prabhu, has not confirmed anything regarding the same openly, there are some reliable sources in the industry who have confirmed this. Venkat Prabhu seems to be taking his time in nodding his yes to the Hindi-speaking crowd.

Venkat wants to first launch his film for the Tamil audience. The film is touted to hit theatres during August, but a tentative date has not been finalized yet. The film might hit theatres sometime during the Independence Day, suggest experts.

While there are talks going on as to the Hindi remake of 'Mankatha,' some of sections of K'Town were plagued with rumours that 'Mankatha' is a remake of Bollywood film 'Jannat' which released more than a couple of years back starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The remake news seems to have perturbed Dayanidhi Alagiri, who has firmly denied any similarity between the scripts of ‘Jannat’ and 'Mankatha.'

The music of 'Mankatha' is touted to hit the stands in July.
