Work on the Selva - Dhanush film, Mayakkam Enna is happening at a furious pace. The final song is going to be shot and word is that it will be filmed in Coimbatore. Selva likes the place a lot as he has some fond memories from his visits there. His songs have a reputation for being unusual so it will be interesting to see what the brothers have cooked up between them.
Mayakkam Enna has stalled repeatedly during the course of its making. It was originally called Irandam Ulagam and had Andrea in the lead. The title and the heroine was changed later. Richa Gangopadhyay stepped in when Andrea had to leave and filming proceeded. A new talent is being introduced in this film and he is Sunder Ramu, one of the leading photographers in the country and a talented dancer and theatre artiste. Word is that he is the surprise package in the film as he has turned in a breakthrough performance.

Dhanush and Selva have a huge fan
Richa Gangopadhyay is thrilled with her debut vehicle, Mayakkam Enna, opposite Dhanush and directed by Selvaraghavan. The actress is in awe of Dhanush since he has turned in a brilliant performance. She has been raving about him to all her friends and claims it is amazing how he keeps attaining new heights as an actor. His humility and capacity for hard work has also impressed Richa. About Selva, she says simply that he is a genius.About her character in the film, Richa admitted that she is absolutely in love with the role. Selva is making a poignant and beautiful film and her character is integral to it. She says that her character will win a lot of hearts but other than that she is keeping mum because she does not want to ruin the suspense.
Richa who is a known face in Telugu cinema is making her debut in Tamil with Selva and Dhanush's film and she also has Osthi with STR. The actress is gleeful and says that she cannot ask for more.

Aishwarya Dhanush to debut as director with '3'
Dhanush is a happy man now, first it was the announcement of him bagging a National Award in 'Aadukalam', for his one-of-a-kind performance; then his father-in-law, Rajinikanth, who had taken ill all of a sudden and had gone to Singapore is back to hometown, Chennai, safe and sound.
Now the Dhanush's - hubby and wife Aishwarya Dhanush are devoting all their time for their upcoming project which will be Aishwarya Dhanush's launch pad as director into films. Aishwarya has been concentrating on the script and direction, and is taking care of all aspects to have that picture perfect start as a director.
Now sources close to the film's team have revealed that the film has begun to shoot. The combination shots involving the film's lead pair Dhanush and Amala Paul will begin in less than a week, reveal insiders. The music for this film will be by Anirudh, and Kola Bhasker will be in charge of the editing.
Anirudh will be debuting as music director with this film. He has earlier done a lot of jingles and also lent his musical genius to short films. Another interesting aspect is that while Anirudh was a student he was awarded a prize for being the best instrumentalist in a competition by none other that A.R. Rahman, and Anirudh played the keyboard on that day.
We guess his music should be really watched out for!
The project has been attractively titled '3'. Now will it be called "Three" or "Mundru" or will it just remain a plain numerical "3", and does it have any connection with the characters in the film? These are the many doubts that will storm the minds of Dhanush fans once they get to know about the title.
We will shed light on that when we receive confirmed news from reliable people.

Say hello to Aishwarya Dhanush's team...
We all know that Aishwarya Dhanush is turning director and is wielding the megaphone with her husband, Dhanush playing the protagonist. Amala Paul plays the female lead in this film.
Now the grapevine has it that this yet-to-be titled project will have tunes composed by a debutant music director, Anirudh. Dhanush had expressed that although the music composer is new, he is doing a great job and the couple has faith in his work. It may be mentioned that it was earlier speculated that GV Prakash who is a good friend of the family, will compose the tunes.
Anirudh has already composed a single track and those who have listened to it vouch that it will be a chartbuster.
This film is by RK Productions and the cinematography is by Velraj.

Dhanush to sport three looks in 'Irandam Ulagam'
Grapevine has it that Dhanush will sport three different looks in the project he is working along with his brother, Selvaraghavan, tentatively titled 'Irandam Ulagam'.The first of which is a young look where Dhanush sports a single earring stud, and has a more cool appeal, the second look has him sport a beard making the look give a whole gloomy appeal. The third one is something few of us have seen, Dhanush with a thick mustache giving a whole mature touch to his character.
Although expectations are raving high on this Dhanush and Richa Gangopadhyay starrer, the makers are keen about not revealing any information on the characters or the script. In fact, the announcement that 'Irandam Ulagam' is only the work title of the film has led to further expectations...

Tamannaah: Action heroine of Venghai
Sexy siren Tamannaah is all set to play the role of an action heroine in Venghai, which will hit screens this Friday. In this film, Tamannaah plays the role of a village girl who has moved to town. Though basically a peace loving person, a life-altering incident changes her behaviour and she takes the violent route.
Like all Hari flicks, Dhanush's Venghai will be a typical commericial entertainer! There are reports that comedian Vadivelu and Dhanush will have a rib-tickling comedy track.

'Venghai' ready for release
Looks like 'Venghai', a Dhanush-starrer directed by Hari, has come out of a legal tussle it faced last week, for the producers Vijaya Productions are now planning to release the film on July 7.According to sources, a settlement has been reached between Eka Chakra Media (P) Ltd (which claimed rights for the title 'Venghai') and Vijaya Productions, following which the movie is gearing up to hit the screens.
Last week, the release of the film was stayed by the Madras High Court due to a contesting claim by Eka Chakra Media. The company said based on its application, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) had registered the title Venghai in August last year. The registration was valid for one year and a further renewal of six months.
However, Vijaya Productions, director Hari and Sun Pictures, which had purchased the negative rights, had given the title to a film as Venghai, to be released in July, knowing fully well that the title had already been registered by Eka Chakra.
Staying the film's release, Justice V Ramasubramanian said that despite the title having been registered in favour of Eka Chakra, the very same name had been given to the film made by Vijaya Productions.

It's not 'Irandam Ulagam'!
With a newspaper having carried false statements never made by Dhanush he set out to clear a few things this morning to his tweet buddies. He explained that although the date isn't confirmed on Superstar's return, he'll be just on time for everything.
And he went on to add that, the film he is currently working on with his brother, Selvaraghavan, where he is cast opposite Richa Gangopadhyay, is not titled 'Irandam Ulagam'!
He said, "First of all, Selva's film is not called 'Irandam Ulagam,' and I ain't playing a doctor." He also expressed that, he has written a couple of songs for this Selva's project and has crooned for a couple of tracks as well.
So what about his 'Venghai' that has recently hit the news? "And 'Venghai' will release soon, sooner than you think. God bless," he signs off.
We'll get back to you shortly with the latest details on Dhanush's project with Selvaraghavan and Richa Gangopadhyay...

Venghai's track list is out!
Director Hari and Dhanush's forthcoming flick 'Venghai' is much-awaited due to reasons many. In the decade long career of Hari's, out of his ten movies nine have been box-office hits and even blockbusters. He can be rightly referred to as K-town's master of commercial entertainers.
After bagging the National Award, fans' expectations from Dhanush has become multi-fold. The movie stars Tamannah opposite Dhanush and the duo's earlier 'Padikathavan' was a good entertainer. The music is composed by DSP who is known for his fast and peppy numbers.
Now 'Venghai's track list is out, and looks like we can surely wait for yet another mass-masala action flick soon. The lyrics are penned by Viveka and Hari and there are five tracks in this flim.
While "Dhenam Dhenam..." is sung by Benny Dayal, it is said that there are rap interludes that are written and sung by Baba Sehgal. "Yenna Solla Pore..." is sung by DSP himself, who is best at his peppy numbers, so we can guess that this might be one of those fast-paced tracks.
"Kaalangathale..." is sung by Karthik and Roshini, "Orey Oru..." by Tippu and Harini. Mukesh and Suchitra have lent their voices for "Pudikale Pudikuthu..."
The story revolves around how an angry young man should never get to the usage of weapons to vent his anger.
The audio launch of 'Venghai' will be held on June 10 and will sure be a star-studded glitzy affair.

Dhanush’s secret gift to Tapsee
Tapsee is the heroine of Dhanush in ‘Aadukalam’. Sources say that when the film was in its final schedule of shooting in Madurai, Tapsee was finding it very uncomfortable at the sets and was finding difficult to communicate with people.Seeing the discomfort of heroine, as usual the hero came in for rescue. After understanding what Tapsee's problem is, Dhanush gave a secret gift to the heroine after which she was able to feel at ease.
She even claims that now she doesn’t need any one to make her thoughts public because of the gift by Dhanush. So what is that Dhanush gifted that changed the life of Tapsee? It is nothing but a book "How to learn Tamil through English in 30 days". Not knowing the language was her problem.
Now she feels good in Tamil and her career in Tamil is also growing as her confidence. After ‘Aadukalam’ with Dhanush, Tapsee is eyeing on her next big project ‘Vandhan Ventran’ with Jeeva.

It’s official: ‘Aadukalam’ from Pongal
n an apparent bid to put an end to speculation that their next release ‘Aadukalam’ will hit the screens in December itself, Sun Pictures has clarified that the Dhanush-starrer will be a Pongal release.
This decision, according to sources, has been taken due to two reasons. One being the successful running of Sun Pictures’s Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Endhiran’ even two months after its release. And the other is the good show of the Deepavali release
‘Uthamaputhiran’ which also has Dhanush in the lead role. “These things have made Sun Pictures to release ‘Aadukalam’ for Pongal,” sources add.
Directed by Vettrimaran of ‘Polladhavan’ fame, ‘Aadukalam’ is set in Madurai. “It is a contemporary film which speaks about the lives, lifestyles, dreams and ambition of the people who belong to a sub-cult,” says the director.

Random Post: Songs Im Addicted to Right NOW
This weekend I was a sorta free so I got to listen to a couple of new songs which were from Engeyum Kaadhal, Aadukalam, and the Rakht Charitra ( Hindi). I also listened to one song from Prithvi's The Thriller : Priyankari. AND I instantly fell in LOVE with it :D Engeyum Kaadhal is not my kind of music at all, its westernized a lot and its sorta classic-y, though I loved the songs from the Telugu movie Orange, EK was not my cup of tea. Also one of the songs is copied from Micheal Jackson.. so, not cool. Aadukalam was the best album from Tamil this weekend :D enjoyed it thoroughly! :) Here are my songs this weekend ( In order of addiction) :
1. Paisewala- Rakht Charitra
2. Mila To Marega-Rakht Charitra
3. Khaul Khaul Ke-Rakht Charitra
4. Ayyayo-Aadukalam
5.Yathe Yathe- Aadukalam
6. Priyankari - The Thriller
