Nayanthara becomes a Hindu!

"Diana is no more, Nayanthara to be known from now on. For some personal reasons I have followed Hinduism", expressed Nayanthara while speaking to her fans.

Nayanthara, who changed her name so for films, is a Christian by birth, and was earlier referred to as Diana Mariam Kurian, before her foray into the film industry. The latest is that, she has changed her religious faith to Hinduism on Sunday morning at a temple in North Chennai. After the rituals at the temple, she was given a certificate of conversion to Hinduism, with her Hindu name as Nayanthara.

Although the actress refused to spill the beans on the reason behind this name change and whether it was a move for her wedding with Prabhu Deva, she expressed that due to personal reasons she has become a Hindu by religion now.

Looks like we will soon hear Nayan - Prabhu's wedding bells ring...

Rajini shifts home for fans

The latest news is that Rajinikanth wishes to meet his fans. He will be meeting not just the district administrators of his fans’ club but also the fans who wish to see him in person and take photographs.

To facilitate his fans to meet him, Rajini has decided to shift over to a new house that has ample space to accommodate fans and well-wishers. Moreover, his Poes Garden residence may be unsuitable to invite guests because this might cause some security concerns to his neighbor J Jayalalitha, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Rajini also plans to treat his fans with feast once he is totally fit.

Trisha in demand

Trisha is broadening her horizons considerably these days. Having reached the top in the Tamil and Telugu film industries and made her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar, she is all set to do a Kannada film with Dharshan. But that is not all, the Bhojpuri film industry is wooing her big time, hoping to get her to sign on the dotted line for a few of their films.

South Indian heroines are no strangers to this industry as stars like Nagma and Rambha have rocked in a few Bhojpuri films. Trisha was flattered we hear, but not too keen to commit, as she is very busy with other projects. She wants to strengthen her position in the South, and then conquer Bollywood as well.

Superstar discharged

We all knew that Superstar was admitted in a leading hospital in Singapore, today the star has been discharged as he has met a complete recovery for his illness.

His son-in-law was the first to greet Superstar's fans all over the globe with this news. He tweeted, "Superstar discharged from hospital. He has recovered completely and taking rest. Soon national award celebrations god bless."

Our birdies add that Rajinikanth will stay there for a few more days. Remember, Dhanush had earlier told us that Superstar is on a shopping spree and the family is looking forward to a vacation?

Maybe, its time for that and they are finally getting to celebrate Dhanush's success of bagging a National Award, now that Superstar is all fine. We'd say the vacation is much-needed after all that's happened over the last few days.

After taking good care and much rest, Rajinikanth will start off with KS Ravikumar's 'Rana' alongside Deepika Padukone.

Fans can now be all glee as their prayers have been granted.

Priyamani to wield megaphone

Not all actresses have a dream to direct films. But Priyamani is one for sure. The actress is keen at wielding the megaphone and at the same time also clear that this is not the right time to implement her decision.

"It is my longtime dream to make a film. Even my friends too have been asking me to direct a movie. However, my priority at this moment is acting and I may direct a film after a couple of years," she says.

Last weekend, Priyamani was seen at the Celebrity Cricket League matches, along with other actors and actresses. "I love cricket a lot and it is my duty to support my colleagues who were playing the game."

Going down the memory lane, she says, "I am happy that I have got the opportunity to work with some of the best directors in the country. I have learnt a lot from them and indeed thankful to them.

Rajini to shoot for 'Rana' from Sept.

We have been giving you steady updates on the Superstar right from the day he was admitted at Isabelle hospital, Mylapore. The icon, who is now in Singapore's Mount Elisabeth Center for treatment is progressing well. There were rumours about a renal transplant but they are just rumours as even the dialysis that was so long taking place has been stopped.

Now about 'Rana,' – the filming team had slowed the filming by a few days due to the Superstar’s ill health but now with the Superstar recuperating so well director K.S. Ravikumar is believed to go ahead with the film’s shooting briskly. The portions which do not require the superstar's presence will be shot first. The director is believed to shoot portions with the villain of the film, Sonu Sood, and then with the heroine of the film, Deepika Padukone.

The superstar is touted to join the filming team once he has completely regained his health back and after a restful and rejuvenating break. Some sources suggest that Superstar might join the team sometime during September. Director Ravikumar had planned the film in such a way that there would be extensive stunts to be performed in the film. But now considering the Superstar's health certain scenes have been altered and the team is waiting for the Superstar to give them the green signal for the changes.

Whatever said or done due to prayers of millions of ardent fans across the globe the Superstar is steadily getting well and will some be back in his home town to thank in innumerable fans worldwide!

Prabhu Deva to convert to Christianity?

No sooner had the affair between Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara blossomed, than it became the focus of public attention. Even the minutest details of their problems were relentlessly published in many newspapers. Naturally it turned out to be the hottest topic of Kodambakkam. First it was the problem caused by Prabhu Deva’s wife Ramlath and then their divorce. Later it was revealed by some of the closer sources that Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara will be entering wedlock by August.

The latest news is that the parents of Nayanthara have insisted that Prabhu Deva get baptized and convert to Christianity. It is worth mentioning that Nayanthara belongs to a staunch Roman Catholic family. However Nayan is advocating for her fiancé and wants to settle the issue in a favorable way.

Superstar in Singapore

Superstar Rajinikanth on Friday night flew to Singapore for “rest and rehabilitation” after being discharged from Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai where he was admitted for respiratory problems.

If sources are to be believed, the numero uno star of Tamil cinema was wheeled in through the cargo entrance through gate number two even as media personnel and others waited around gate numbers five and six.

Accompanied by his family members, Rajinikanth waved to the fans who gathered at the airport before being escorted into the flight. He would be treated at the National Kidney Centre in Singapore, sources said.

While Rajini’s elder daughter Aishwarya said one of the reasons for going to Singapore was to provide her father some privacy, the actor's wife Latha told journalists that he was going to Singapore for rejuvenation. However, all family members and doctors maintained that the Superstar is fine.

We have WON it after 28 years! :D

India has one the ICC World Cup 2011 beating Sri Lanka, and many other teams in the process! It was a tense match between India and Sri Lanka but India got through. M.S Dhoni being a great captain, brought us to the win. Dhoni is a cool captain he never looks tense, neither is super tense;but he knows what to do. Part of the win also goes to Gary Kirsten, for coaching the team so well; and helping them improve India's bowling and fielding skills. India was really weak in bowling in fielding when they played England, cause they kept on giving the boundaries and singles, but after playing Ireland and South Afirca, they started getting way better in those two fields. India's bowling and fielding was the strongest when the played the final against Sri Lanka; India was not giving up singles and or boundaries. India already had a strong batting side.

The most tense games were for India were:  vs.England,Australia,Pakistan, and Sri Lanka since they really counted. England was just too much waiting because it ended up being a tie, it was sort of a easy win against Australia, cause they weren't playing well that day;same with Pakistan, but the score was pretty close, we won by 29 runs. Sri Lanka was super tense, because obviously it was the final and every single Indian heart was beating for India to win. We ended up winning in the ending but once again with a close score, in some parts we had more runs than balls that were left, so that caused a worry; and also Sehwag and Sachin got out pretty fast.

Who Played in the Final against Sri Lanka:
M.S Dhoni
Sachin Tendulkar
Yuvraj Singh
Virendar Sehwag
Virat Kohli
Gautham Gambhir
Harbhajan Singh
Sreesanth
Suresh Raina
Sreesanth

It was the youngsters like: Kohli,Gambhir,Dhoni, and Yuvraj that made/helped India win, but in all it was a huge team effort. They just proved, that we can win without Sachin if we have too and its all about team work. All of them played super good in the Final, its like they unleashed the monster in them :D

Gautham and Dhoni's partnership scored the highest runs ever, in the history of the World Cup for a final. Dhoni also passed his 6000 runs in One day Internationals. Sadly Sehwag's performance was disappointing as the matches went on, he started getting out fast. I also think the Indian team has to work on their running except Dhoni, since he is naturally fast. I don't think they should have replaced Nehra with Sreesanth, instead they should have picked Ashwin, since he has played in the World Cup matches before the Final, unlike Sreesanth.

I really didn't like how they bought religion into the game of cricket, for when India and Sri Lanka were playing against each other. People were like: India is the Land of Ram and Sri Lanka is the Land of Raavana, so since Ram beat Raavana in real life, we would beat SL. But really, anything can happen in the game of cricket. :)

The sportsmanship of Kumar Sangakarra, the captain of the SL team, should be appreciated. If someone were in his possession they would be mad and pissed, and not talk right. But he was like "When you have such an awesome batting line-up, even 300 is not enough, "(Their) batting is unbelievable, best in ODI cricket, MS is very intelligent, very smart. ,Gambhir is one of the best players I have seen as a let-hander, and he had that partnership with Virat. MS knew what he had to do," That was really nice of him, instead of saying something negative, or nothing at all. Same with the Australian captain,Ponting, who said that they, themselves, played bad, and he said India would win the Cup.

This is the second time India has won the World Cup after 1983! Im proud of India!! And I will remember this day! JAI HO!! :D
