'7am Arivu' for Deepavali

There are some fireworks in store this Deepavali, for plans are on to release '7am Arivu', Suriya's next directed by AR Murugadoss, on the festival of lights.

"Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin is planning to release the audio, composed by Harris Jayaraj, very soon. Nearly five weeks after the music launch, the film will hit the screens for Deepavali," sources say.

Suriya plays a tripe role in the film, which has Shruthi Haasan opposite him. A sci-fi action thriller, the story of '7am Arivu' shuttles between the present and the Before Christ era, we learn.

Director Murugadoss is hopeful that the film would break the records created by his earlier venture with Suriya, 'Ghajini'. "Besides, it will tell the world the rich culture of Tamil and might of Tamilians," he says.

The Month for Ajith, Suriya, and Vijay Fans!

August is going to be a very happening month for Tamil cinema, with several huge projects lining up for release. Audio launches and movie releases have been scheduled for as many as 13 films in this month alone! Vijay, Ajith, and Suriya films are also a part of this mix.

The past few months have been sluggish for Tamil cinema with hardly any big name films releasing. Insiders have attributed this to the fact that Tamil cinema’s biggest competitor cricket was monopolizing audience attention with the World cup and IPL. So from the beginning big filmmakers wanted their films to have their releases later in the year.

Be that as it may, fans who have been starved for a slice of their favorite stars are in for a treat. Vijay’s Velayudham, Ajith’s Mankatha, and Suriya’s 7am Arivu are likely to have audio launches this month with the view to have a big Diwali release hopefully. Nothing is confirmed but tentative dates for audio launch have been set for August 10th (Mankatha), 15th (Velayudham), and 20th (7am Arivu).

The makers of other films have also confirmed release dates for this month. Doo, Potta Potti, Ramanathapuram, and Singakottai will be screened on August 5th. These films feature fresh talent and are hoping to have a good showing.

Jiiva’s Rowthiram with Shriya is set to release on August 12th. The star is having a great year so his fans are waiting to see his latest offering. The music in this film has been hugely appreciated. Sharing the honors with them will be Sagaakal, Sankaran Koil, and Yuvan.

On August 19th, Mudhal Idam, Puli Vesham, and Theni Mavattam will be releasing. On their heels Kalavani Sargunam’s Vaagai Sooda Vaa with Vimal in the lead which has generated a lot of expectations will be screened on August 26th. Yuva Yuvathi will also release on the same day.

Looks like a super fun month ahead as Tamil cinema fans can sit back and enjoy the latest work of their favorite stars.

Suriya eager to excel with '7 Am Arivu'

If yesterday it was Suriya who unveiled the music disc of 'Engeyum Epodhum,' the event that was captured live and exclusive on Indiaglitz.com, today we back to shed more light on his upcoming film '7 Am Arivu' which sees Suriya in a sci-fi thriller for the first time ever. Not only that, this film will see the actor sharing screen space with Shruthi Haasan, who will be making her debut as heroine in Tamil with this A.R. Murugadoss project.

Right from the word 'go' this project has been garnering media attention for the various stages of filming it has crossed. With the shooting of the film wrapped up long back and the post-production work going on at a brisk pace the audio release of '7 Am Arivu' is to take place sometime soon.

With the latest posters of the film getting out Suriya fans and movie lovers are awe struck by the yogi's (a monk) pose that Suriya has struck in the film. Rippling all muscles and with long hair and a beard to match, the actor is touted to appear in this makeover when the film begins. His fans will get to see him in this avatar for a little less than half an hour in the beginning of the film.

Suriya appears in the above avatar as a Buddhist monk from the medieval era. The actor's avatars, in '7 Am Arivu', transition into a scientist and later as an acrobat as the film gears up for an adrenalin-pumping climax. Suriya has also undergone special training for the acrobat's role that he has portrayed in the film. Touted to have performed some dare-devil stunts the actor is all set to impress his fans and film lovers with '7 Am Arivu'.

Why Suriya never agrees to it?

Director Hari has said that Suriya is the only actor he had directed who never allows a dupe for fight sequences. Hari revealed that in the films he had directed Suriya, the star always insisted on doing the action sequences himself no matter how risky or difficult it is. According to Hari, Suriya is the best in acting and stunts till date.

It is noteworthy that Hari’s Venghai is hitting the screens tomorrow and the film has national award winner Dhanush and Tamannah playing the lead pair. The director has said that Venghai will be an out-and-out commercial flick that movie buffs are going to enjoy.

It's time to shoot 'Maatran'

Now that Suriya has completed '7am Arivu' and K V Anand is ready with the complete script of 'Maatran', it's time for the duo to start the film. We learn that the movie would go on floors after the wedding of Karthi, Suriya's younger brother.

"Suriya is extremely busy these days making arrangements and inviting friends and relatives for Karthi's marriage in Coimbatore (July 3) and reception in Chennai (July 7). He will be free only in the second week of July," say sources.

"Before the shoot, Suriya has to do some homework for his getup in Maatran, as Anand has asked for a more suave and stylish look of him. The shoot may start with a song which will be shot in an exotic locale," they add.

Produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram's AGS Entertainment, 'Maatran' brings together Suriya and Anand after the super hit 'Ayan'. Other members of the 'Ayan' team - music composer Harris Jayaraj and writers Subha are also there in 'Maatran'.

The wedding will be a traditional, intimate affair with only family and friends attending. A grand reception will be held on July 11th. Suriya is very busy with preparations for the wedding.

Since Suriya will be busy with the wedding, Maatran has been postponed for a while. KV Anand was very understanding and accommodating about the whole thing.

Maatran to begin

The first schedule of Suriya's Maatran will begin in the second week of July. The unit will be shooting in and around Chennai and Suriya's scenes will be filmed first. On its completion, KV Anand is considering shooting the second schedule in Russia where it is expected that Kajal Agarwal, the heroine will join the team.

A.R. Murugadoss on 7am Arivu release date

Finally we hear it from the horse’s mouth. The release date of Suriya starrer ‘7am Arivu’ has been a long wait for the fans. With A.R. Murugadoss making his way back to Kollywood after a sabbatical, the expectations got bigger for the collaboration of ‘Ghajini’ team. It was expected that the film would hit screens in April-May as the producers felt summer as the high time for theatres.

However, as the production works got postponed due to various reasons, the makers decided to postpone the release by July. A.R. Murugadoss has mentioned that the post production works are progressing rapidly and will be completed by next month. The audio launch is scheduled to be held by mid June. Harris Jayaraj has promised to delight his fans, who are curiously looking out for the album following his huge success with ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ and ‘Ko’.

Suriya in Shankar’s next?

Shankar is the man with the golden touch and there is no doubt that all the leading stars want to work with him. It is also well known that Suriya is one of the most commercially viable stars in tinsel town today. With this being the present scenario, the two may join hands to create box office magic. The director is working at a rapid pace to finish his remake of 3 Idiots, Nanban in record time. Once that is finished he is eager to get started on a fresh project. The script is ready and word is that Suriya will be doing the lead role.

The actor was supposed to work with Shankar in Nanban but that did not pan out. This time around it looks like everything has fallen into place for the top star as well as the ace director. This combination is sure to be a winning one as both are perfectionists with amazing track records at the box office.

Suriya’s next with Hari

The hit makers of ‘Aaru’, ‘Vel’ and ‘Singam’ are coming together again. Suriya and Hari, whose chemistry worked big time in the past, will soon start a new movie, which will be an action entertainer.
If sources are to be believed, Hari is ready with a gangster story, which he thinks will be apt for Suriya. “The actor too has listened to the script and expressed his consent to be part of the project,” they say.

Suriya has completed the multilingual ‘7am Arivu’ with A R Murugadoss and will soon start working for ‘Maatran’ with K V Anand. His project with Hari is expected to start once ‘Maatran’ is over.

In the meantime, Hari is currently busy making ‘Venghai’, which has Dhanush and Tamannah in lead roles. “Venghai too is a racy entertainer quite typical to Hari’s format,” according to circles close to him.
