Singam to be Remade into Kannada!
The super hit Tamil film Singam starring Suriya and Anushka will be remade in Kannada as Kempe Gowda. In all likelihood, Sudeep or Darshan will be the hero of Kempe Gowda. The Kannada remake rights were acquired by Shankare Gowda. Will Sudeep give up Kanwarlal and concentrate on Kempe Gowda? Some sources feel otherwise, saying the content of Kempe Gowda is quite similar to his earlier film Thirupathi which crashed at the box office. Many film sources opine that since Kempe Gowda was the founder of Bengaluru, any film named Kempe Gowda should have an original and fitting subject. For remaking Singam, the title Kempe Gowda does not really match well. So one has to wait and watch who will be the hero in the remake, who will direct it and what it will be finally titled. |
