Shiva does not want to reveal!

Shiva started out as a popular RJ for Radio Mirchi and went on to become a movie star. Films like Chennai 600028, Saroja, and Tamil Padam shot him to fame and he has earned a good name for himself in addition to a huge fan following. But he is still looking for new peaks to conquer.

The RJ turned actor will now turn director. Apparently he has completed the script for a film and is looking out for a producer. Once that is done, he will turn his attention to the cast and crew. Shiva refused to give any more details about the film as it is still in the fledgling state. But we have high hopes for him.

Amy Jackson to Mollywood?

After bringing in a Chinese model to play the lead in the hit movie 'Arabikkatha', ace Mollywood director Laljose is said to have made a master casting for his new movie 'Spanish masala'. The reports suggest that Laljose has already met Amy Jackson, the famous British model and has made her agree to be the part of the film, playing Dileep's heroine. The movie which tells the love story between a Malayali youngster and a Spanish girl, is scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam.

Amy who has already made a mark in Indian films, had made her debut in Tamil films through the Arya starrer 'Madirasipattanam'. She is also the heroine of 'Premkatha', the Hindi remake of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya.

Nag starts his own film school

Akkineni family started its own film school on Thursday. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Amala, Akhil Sushanth, Sumanth and the entire family was present at the announcement of the film school.

Nagarjuna named it 'International School of Film and Media'. Nag claims that this film school which will be based out of Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad will be the largest film school in Asia.

" Located in the premises of Annapurna Studios, the International School of Film and Media will provide a world-class learning experience by combining government-recognized degrees with the best practices of international higher education. The institute will also associate with multiple international film schools, establishing student and faculty exchange programs and other international opportunities for aspiring students." a statement from Nagarjuna said.

Admissions for this school are open from July 1st.Courses with the duration of eight weeks to twelve weeks are offered in this institution.

Padmapriya plays lead in movie on Sharada

National award winning actress Padmapriya is playing the role of actress in a Malayalam movie. A movie is being made based on the real life story of senior Telugu and Malayalam actress Sharada and Padmapriya is playing the lead role in it.

This film has been titled 'Nayaki' and it is being filmed in Malayalam. Actress Sharada who hails from Andhra Pradesh became very popular in Malayalam cinema and won the titles 'Urvasi' for her endearing action in Malayalam cinema.

"Sharada is an inspirational actress. Her journey towards stardom is exciting. I am proud to be playing her real life role on the screen" Padmapriya told media.

Mamata Mohandas is also playing an important role in this biopic. Mallu actor Jayaram is the male lead for this flick which will be directed by Jayaraj. Padmapriya also played heroine in Telugu movie 'Andari Bandhuvaya' directed by Chandra Siddhartha.

Srikanth's metamorphosis in 'Ethiri En 3'

From what director Ram has to say about his 'Ethiri En 3,' the film is not for the weak hearted. The film sees Srikanth in a rugged role with Poonam Bhajwa as his female lead. The film is believed to be of an action thriller genre, so what is Srikanth doing in this film with his good boyish looks and attitude?

The director reveals that it was Srikanth who helped him with various aspects with pulling off the film in the first place. Ram is also confident that Srikanth will get a commendable response for his portrayal in this film. At some places the director has unearthed some unknown facts to the outside world that happens behind bars, a few of which are thoroughly gruesome.

Poonam plays an investigative scribe in this film. Post 'Ko' many film makers are taking off with stories which involve journos, and with what is happening around in real world the decision seems apt.

Dharan is the music director and there are some peppy songs and some romantic numbers in the film. Most of the filming will be carried out in and around Chennai and the team will go overseas just to shoot a couple of song sequences suggest sources close to the film's unit.

'Dabangg' to roll in Telugu with Shruthi Haasan?

Well we had so far been giving you inputs on the Tamil version of 'Dabangg' titled 'Osthi' which will be directed by Dharani and see Simbu and Richa in the lead roles with a host of other top artists pitching in for supporting roles.

We now have fetched some news for the Telugu audience. It looks the Telugu version is also been considered. Sources indicate that Pawan Kalyan will play the role of Chulbul Pandey. With that being confirmed a lot of lead ladies in the industry were being considered to play the lead lady's character.

Some birdies in the area are suggesting that Shruthi Haasan might bag the role. With a prior hit in Telugu, Shruthi is a household name in the region. Her first film was 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' with Siddharth, which got her good popularity. Shruthi is yet to open her innings in Kollywood but with A.R. Murugados's and Suriya's '7 Am Arivu' we guess she will be able to pull it off here too.

Well, Shruthi bagging the role opposite Pawan Kalyan to play the bubbly village lass has taken many by surprise. Now all we have to do is just wait to see how well see is able to portray the character to perfection. Let us not forget this role in the Hindi original played by Sonakshi Sinha was what shot her to fame!

'Vettai' goes trilingual

Linguswamy is planning real big for his forthcoming venture 'Vettai'. The director, who is also producing the Arya-Madhavan starrer, has decided to release the movie simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi as well!

"Vettai is my best commercial film ever, as it brings together best talents in the industry. I am joining hands with Nirav Shah after Sandakozhi and with Yuvan Shankar Raja after Paiyaa," he says.

Heaping praises on the lead actors, the director-producer says, "Madhavan and Arya are giving their best to each and every scene. Not far behind are Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul. The beautiful ladies are adding immense value to the film."

"Vettai is a story of two brothers (Madhavan - Arya) and two sisters (Sameera Reddy - Amala Paul). It is an action-packed entertainer with equal importance for family values and romance. Brinda Sarathy has penned dialogues," Linguswamy signs off.
