'Vedi' audio this September 1!
The talkie portions of the film are wrapped up and the song shoot is going on at a speedy pace too. Two songs will be canned in unseen and exotic locales of South Africa.
The film is the remake of Telugu super hit, 'Souryam' that featured Gopichand and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. Those close to the 'Vedi' unit vouch that Vishal and Sameera share an amazing on-screen chemistry and that the songs and action sequences from the film will sure set a rage among the young.
We must say, 'Velayudham', another Vijay Antony's musical offering, is also seeing the audio launch by the end of August. Looks like Vijay Antony is all set to rule the roost this season!

Vishal, the good Samaritan
The actor has carved a niche for himself in the slot of excellent artists with his above-mentioned role in director Bala's film.
The actor who is at the moment shooting for Prabhu Deva's upcoming 'Vedi' alongside Sameera Reddy recently came across a news item when his heart went out to the people involved. It was about a woman who had robbed a lady at an ATM at gun point (the only difference, the gun was a toy), claiming that she had robbed to feed her two children who had been foodless for two days.
Vishal reading this story in a popular daily is believed to have contacted his co-star Sameera to help him find out about the whereabouts of this woman who was in police custody in Kolkata.
Sameera seems to have zeroed in on the news provider who has in turn contacted the actor. All the actor now wants to know is if the woman's reason to rob was genuine for if she was faking. If the reason is genuine then Vishal wants to help her children and support them financially.
A man with a heart of gold truly, Vishal is!

Vishal ready with a 'Vedi' for Diwali...
This film is a remake of Tollywood super hit, 'Souryam' and is gearing up for a Diwali release, and the latest buzz is that the movie has seen a title change to 'Vedi'! Sounds like a perfect diwali release, doesn't it?
This film sees Vishal and Poonam Kaur as siblings, and it must be noted that Poonam donned the original role as well, whereas Sameera plays Vishal's love interest. The original lead roles were reprised by Gopichand and Anushka Shetty.
It is also said that through 'Vedi' Sameera will try her hands at comedy for the first time ever and there's a hot item number with Sophie Choudry. All set for some 'Vedi' this festival of lights?

'Vettai' goes trilingual
"Vettai is my best commercial film ever, as it brings together best talents in the industry. I am joining hands with Nirav Shah after Sandakozhi and with Yuvan Shankar Raja after Paiyaa," he says.
Heaping praises on the lead actors, the director-producer says, "Madhavan and Arya are giving their best to each and every scene. Not far behind are Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul. The beautiful ladies are adding immense value to the film."
"Vettai is a story of two brothers (Madhavan - Arya) and two sisters (Sameera Reddy - Amala Paul). It is an action-packed entertainer with equal importance for family values and romance. Brinda Sarathy has penned dialogues," Linguswamy signs off.

He tried to drown Sameera
No one would have faith in their directors like Sameera Reddy did. Apparently, when Director Gautham Menon offered her Nadunisi Naigal, the leggy lass accepted it without asking for any other details. “Later when I heard that Veera will be playing the main role I thought it was a big joke. But all credit to Veera, I think he has come a long way and he worked very hard to prove himself,” says Sam.Veera has been Gautham’s assistant director since Vaaranam Aayiram and so Sameera has known him for long and they are immensely comfortable with each other. Veera is also all praises for Sameera and observes that her role in NN is tough and demanding which is generally scripted for heroes and that the actress did full justice to it. They also let it slip that there is a scene in the film where Veera, who plays a psycho, drags Sameera by the hair and tries to drown her in a tub of water. Now, that sends a chill down our spine. We cannot wait for the Nadunisi Naigal to be unleashed.

Nadunisi Naigal – Tollywood’s Sigappu Rojakkal?
Director Gautham Menon has announced that Nadunisi Naigal, which is slated for release on January 26th, 2011, will be released in Telugu under the title Erra Gulabeelu. The Telugu title literally means Sigappu Rojakkal and this led to the guesswork that the film is inspired by the yesteryear hit of the same name in which Kamal Haasan and Sri Devi played the lead roles. Gautham organized a press meet in Hyderabad recently to announce the Telugu version of NN and this meet was attended by Sameera Reddy, Veera Bahu, Gautham Menon, Telugu actor Srikanth, and filmmaker Rama Naidu. NN is directed by Gautham Menon and stars debutant Veera and Sameera Reddy.
The trailer of this film is expected to be released during the audio launch of Veppam, a production venture of Gautham.

Great escape for Sameera
Sameera Reddy, who for the first time visited Patna last weekend, perhaps had one of the worst experiences of her life when she was almost caught in the mob fury that broke out during a show on Sunday.Thursday, November 25, 2010

Vaaranam Aayiram...
I love this movie a ton :) Its definitely a milestone in Surya's career and my Tamil movie watching career :) Its one of the best movies I have seen!
Its just too hard to talk about this movie, there is so much to this masterpiece. I really don't think anyone else could have done better than Surya in both the characters of Surya and Krishnan. He did so many things to fit into the character of Surya A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Sameera was good in the role of Meghana, but for some reason her past roles from other movies irk me. If you have heard about her past movies or seen them you would understand. Sometimes, past movies off actors/actress haunt mymind especially if they were not right. Simran was
awesome, though she sorta looked old even in the parts where she was supposed to look young. But then it was hard to see her in a mothers/ old role. Especially that makeup! ugh, but the role demanded it so I don't blame her. :) Divya was my fav, no doubt. She was soo cute next to Surya :D She acted well too as Priya, She dubbed for herself too, I didn't hear a flaw in her Tamil either :D She was great in the scene where she proposes to Surya at the bus stop :). One of my fav scenes was when Divya shy's away seeing Surya when she sings Annul Malae and he comes down stairs :D I thought it was shot in a cute manner. :) I think Sneha could been better, though I really liked Divya in the role of Priya. I say this because Sneha has more of a homely appeal, which Priya's character had. My fav pair out of the three was Surya-Divya! They looked adorable :) :DHope its one of your favorite movies too! :D

Gautham Menon latest
Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has confirmed that the shoot of his thriller ‘Nadunisi Naaigal’ is complete and it is in its post production stages. ‘Nadunisi Naaigal’ stars one of his assistants Veera and sexy Sameera Reddy in the lead roles. It will hit the screen probably around Diwali.
Gautham’s other two home productions in Tamil are progressing in style as expected. One is ‘Veppam’ directed by his associate Anjana and the other is ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai’ directed by Suseenthiran.
Meanwhile Gautham is also moving ahead with the ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ Hindi remake. The project which a joint production between Gautham Menon and 20th Century Fox has already set he expectation meter rising.
A R Rahman who is much exited about the Hindi remake is making all new tunes for the Hindi version. Most of Gautham’s men like Anthony, Rajeevan, Nalini Sriram and Manoj Paramahamsa will work on the Bollywood project also.
On the lead cast Trisha is being retained and Prateik Babbar will essay Simbu’s role.
