Andrea in 'Nanban'

Shankar always ensures that his films get nothing but the best in all aspects. Currently busy shaping up 'Nanban', a remake of Bollywood hit 'Three Idiots', he has roped in Andrea Jeremiah for an important task.

Andrea, if sources are to be believed, will dub for Ileana, who is playing the female lead in the Vijay-Jiiva-Srikanth starrer. Already a popular actress and singer, Andrea takes the avatar of a dubbing artiste in 'Nanban'.

"Shankar felt that Andrea's voice would suit best for Ileana, who is playing a college student in Nanban. So the choosy director approached her for the task and she accepted the offer," say sources.

More than 70 % of 'Nanban' shoot is over and the film may see the light of the day on Deepavali. Music is composed by Harris Jayaraj, who has joined hands with Shankar after 'Anniyan'.

Will 'Badrinath' click well in K'Town?

It is always a good idea to do remakes instead of dubbing a film in a different language. While the trend today is to make a full-fledged film in any one of the south Indian language and then dub it in the rest of the languages. While this is the easier way out technically and does save time filmmakers should also consider if the audience enjoy seeing a dubbed version on the big screen and whether they get their money's worth.

While some stars in Telugu like Allu Arjun have developed a good fan base beyond their territory it would please the audience if they appeared in films transcending barriers. A few blockbuster films in Telugu despite much hype bombed at our box-office.

'Bhadrinath,' a Telugu film will hit theatres tomorrow. The film has been dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam versions because of Allu Arjun's craze in these two regions. The star has a huge fan following in Malayalam and most of his movies are dubbed to suit the tastes of Mollywood audience, and they have faired well as well.

Though the dubbed Tamil version will be screened after a month of the original release we just have to wait and watch to find out if this film will overcome the hurdles which a dubbed film usually faces and shine bright or just fizzle out after the initial crackling, we only hope it does well since it's a much-awaited movie among Telugu folks.

Surya Says its Tough

f reports are to be believed, Suriya has declined to dub for the Ram Gopal Varma directed Raktha Charithra. The actor had reportedly told the director that he should use someone’s voice that will get the accent right.

Suriya, it was said, was learning the language to get the right dialect but decided not to dub as he felt that it would not be perfect.

RGV is now, apparently in a fix, but may look out for an alternate source to complete the dubbing process.

Raktha Charithra is a multilingual film which also has Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi sharing the screen space with Suriya.
