Make way for 'Angane Thudangi'
'Angane Thudangi' is a rom-com that is directed under the captaincy of Nandini Reddy and produced under the Sri Ranjith Movies banner. The movie is the dubbed version of Telugu super hit 'Ala Modalaindi' and stars Nani and Nithya Menen essaying lead roles.
The film sees Gautham, played by Nani, who is in love with Simran, played by Kriti Kharbanda, and then he is injured in the head by Nithya, played by Nithya Menen. He is then hospitalized and things take a twist as Simran falls in love with the doctor treating Gautham and they even get married!
At the wedding, Gautham meets Nithya who was in love with the doctor, and later Gautham falls for her truly. What follows next and how he confesses his love to Nithya forms the rest of the story in 'Angane Thudangi'.
Although there was a mad rush in Malayalam for the remake rights of this film, the makers are confident and want to release the dubbed version. Nani has been on a promotional spree for this film, and Nithya Menen has carved a niche for herself among Malayalam movie fans already.
It will hit the screens all over Kerala on July 28.

Lazy Me: Some Mini Reviews
Im too lazy to write long reviews...so here are short ones:
Mr.Perfect:
Was perfect with slight imperfections.
Nice to see Tapasee dub for herself in her, fifth movie it self.:) Her voice suited her for her NRI role
Prabhas is definitely evolving as an actor.
Kajal was her normal self.
The movie is a bit confusing towards the end
The music was nice :)
In all its a nice Family flick to watch :)
Teenmaar:
Only people who think a bit Outside the box can watch it.
Different story for the Telugu audience.
A very different character for Pawan, which he pulled off well.
Trisha was good, this seemed the norm kind of role for her, but a bit upscale. She looked gorgeous too
In my opinion Kriti Kharbanda really didn't do much, she was just there. Her make seriously irked me.
Music seemed very Bollywood
Watch it alone, friends,or in couples. No Family!
Ala Modalaindi
First off, applause for Nithya Menon for dubbing and singing a couple of songs! It was also her first Telugu Film. Girl, you got a awesome career ahead of you. :)
The story was for sure different and fresh.
Nani was good in his role, you could tell he has improved from his previous 4 films.
Nithya and Nani has great chemistry :D
Watch it to see the difference!
Singam Puli
Your regular commercial flick.
Jiiva's first double role, he was really good at it- One was evil, the other was not. He had different body language for both of them, giving his best for each of them.
Divya and Honey Rose/Soundarya were once again, just there.
The movie was a bit awkward, if you have seen it I think you get it.
It was illogical in places.
Mani Sharma's music was nothing special.
Some Vulgar scenes were very annoying to watch, made me want to hit my head against the wall. :P
Watch it if you want.

Ala Modalaindi goes to Tamil
The Tamil remake rights of Telugu hero Nani's runaway success Ala Modalaindi, directed by Nandini Reddy, have been sold!A leading Tamil film producer has bagged the remake rights for a whopping sum of close to Rs. 50 lakhs, sources said. For a film made on a budget of just Rs. 3 crores, it is a huge amount for remake rights, experts say.
Interestingly, Nani is making his Tamil debut with Anjali Alikhan’s forthcoming Veppam; it is yet to be seen if the makers retain him in the Tamil version of Ala Modalaindi.

Three hits of Tollywood
Though the year 2010 ended on a bitter note with huge losses for Tollywood, January 2011 brought some respite in the form of three films that worked at the box office. If our sources in film industry are to be believed, 'Mirapakaya' of Raviteja is doing good business even after two weeks after its release.
'Golconda High School' starring Sumanth evoked good response from multiplex audience and ditto with Nani's 'Ala Modalaindi'.
'Ala Modalaindi' a slapstick comedy with hero playing 'Gay' shade charecter, released without much publicity is running housefull in several theatres and many a places, theatres have been increased for this movie as the collections are encouraging. The word of mouth publicity for this film is strong and young audience are thronging to theatres.
As per the latest report, 'Mirapakaya' collected Rs 25.4 crore in two weeks. So, January this year proved lucky for the industry with already three decent hits. Hope more blockbusters will follow this year.
