The much-expected ‘Vaanam’, a multistarrer which has STR, Bharath, Prakash Raj, Anushka, Sneha Ullal, Vega and Sonia Agarwal in lead roles, would hit the screens during the second week of February.“The makers of the movie decided to release it in February because with Valentine’s Day round the corner, they hope that youngsters would throng theatres to watch this youth festival,” sources close to the unit say.
Produced by ‘VTV’ Ganesh, this Tamil remake of Telugu hit ‘Vedam’ is directed by Krish, who wielded the megaphone for the original too. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, STR’s lucky mascot.
‘Evandi Unnai Pethan…’, a single number from the film’s audio was released recently and it was declared a hit by trade pundits. “The movie has many more surprises. It is a novel attempt,” STR says.
