Its about Vidyalakshmi(Mamta Mohandas) who marries Shanavas(Asif Ali) without the consent of both sides. Later they have a daughter Laya(Baby Anikha). But later fate has something different for her. Then Preman(Jayaram) comes along, which changes everything.....
Mamta was great! Literally, this movie revolved around her, this movie is definitely her best film in her career so far. I really don't think any other comes even close to her performance in this film. She was awesome as a loving mother and a struggling woman. Seriously she deserves an award. She even dubbed for herself, good if she gets the Kerala State Award. :)
Surprisingly in the place where they give tons of attention to the hero, there is not much attention on Jayaram. But he was impressive in the part he had, it wasn't a larger than life character, it was a real life character. He also look pretty handsome in the 5 o' clock shadow he had in the movie ;) . Baby Anikha was so cute and adorable :D pretty good acting too :) Asif Ali was good in the role he had too , he looked like Tamil actor Prasanna to me in some angles, if you pay attention you will notice. I didn't notice he was from the movie Rithu at all ! Until I looked him up, seems to have changed from Rithu to KT,but he certainly looks charming :D Lakshmi Priya the girl who acted as Mallika was really pretty :D I was actually shocked to see Sreejith Ravi in a positive role! Because all the malayalam movies I have seen so far had him in a negative role. But it was cool seeing him in a positive role for once :) Innocent had a touching role, which he was great in :) I really didn't find anything wrong with the movie except I am curious on one part, Why didn't Mamta say anything/ tell the truth when K.P.A.C. Lalitha was saying rude things about her?
** I would just like to say hats off to Mr.Sathyan Anthikkad , it was his 50th directed movie, and he proved himself well! Also, Mamta proved herself with this movie :) now Im a fan of her :)
The songs were very melodious, What am I saying? of course they were melodious they were by Illayaraja! Liked the songs too! My fav track out of the three was Aaro Paadunu sung by Hariharan and K.S.Chitra. They were awesome :) The song was picturised on Mamta and Asif Ali. Cute couple, I must say :D Its a hummable tune :D But the other songs are good too :)
In all Mamta was the show stealer, no doubt, she was gorgeous too :D. She rocks! Jayaram and Asif were cute and good. :D Everything about the movie was great :)
