Sattam Oru Iruttarai’ was one of the important films of the 1980s which is still remembered by many for its bold knot and brave narration. It was the movie that brought Vijayakanth and S A Chandrasekar to limelight.
And now, the filmmaker is gearing up to remake the movie with new faces in the lead. “SAC is currently busy holding auditions and will make an official announcement soon,” say circles close to him.
Saying that the new version would be made according to the tastes and preferences of the younger generation, they add: “The screenplay would undergo some important changes based on today’s scenario.”
Chandrasekar’s last production venture was ‘Veluthu Kattu’, which was directed by his former associate Senpathi Magan. The film which hit screens a couple of months ago was based on incidents happened in SAC’s life.
