Va Quarter Cutting stars Shiva,S.P Charan,and Lekha Washington in the lead roles. Its directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, their 2nd film after Oram Po. Music is done by G.V Prakash, and Cloud Nine Movies produces it.
Story: Sunderajan(Shiva) comes from Coimbatore to Chennai, to got to Saudi Arabia,the next day, for a job. He is a Vijay fan, so he asks/tells everyone to call him Sura. He stays with Marthandan(S.P Charan), a vet who is going to marry his sis. The travel agent, tells Sura that he can not see girls, or drink in SA, because of the harsh laws their. When he hears he can't drink he is devastated, so he makes it a goal to drink a lot before he leaves to Saudi,the following morning. How he finds some liquor and what he has to do to get it forms the rest of the story.
Shiva is extremely entertaining in the movie, he seems to carry his Tamil Padam character but even better :D His accent is something to talk about,I think its a Pollachi accent, but correct me if Im wrong :) S.P Charan is adorable, he is just too cute, in his role, can't say more. Lekha Washington's role is a 19 year old girl named Saraswathi, who has failed 12th three or two times. You develop sympathy for her, but in a funny way :D She is sweet and convincing in her role :D John Vijay plays Prince and King, a comical villain, and he sure is funny :D Arya gives a guest appearance, as Chandru from Oram Po :D
The movie has such a green tone :D You will notice it when you watch it :D
Music: Is very different, very sluggish, but a good tune/sound. :D Kind of drunkish :D My fav was Unnai Kan theduthey :D
Hats off to the directors for thinking of such a different story to tell to the audience! :D The story revolves around such a small thing, and the directors show it in such a hilarious way :D
Enjoyable film which anyone can watch! :) :D
