Gaganam Movie Review: Intense.

Gaganam stars Nagarjuna,Prakash Raj,Rishi,Thalaivasal Vijay,Bhramandham,Sana Khan,Poonam Kaur,M.S Bhaskar,Prithviraj,Elango Kumaravel, and many others. Directed by the breezy director Radha Mohan( A very different film from him). 


Story: A plane full of passengers( Rishi,Thalaivasal Vijay,Bhramandham,Sana Khan,Poonam Kaur,M.S Bhaskar,Prithviraj,Elango Kumaravel, and many others) gets hijacked by a couple of terrorists. How Commando Raveendra(Nagarjuna) and Home Secretary Viswananth(Prakash Raj) save the passengers,with the help of them also, forms the rest. 


Everyone performed Top Notch! :) A really different role for Nag, which he performed well, as if he was a real commando. I don't even have to say anything about Prakash Raj. I have only seen Rishi in T.V serials, and thought he was handsome and had potential, great to see him on the big screen after Mandhira Punnagai. :)) Liked Thalaivasal Vijay and M.S Bhaskar's roles, they were touching :) That guy who performed as Ragananth/Yusuf Khan was hilarious :D 


With the suspense and intensity, Radha Mohan also through in some comedy at the right time; which makes you laugh. :D That is Talent! Radha Mohan keeps your attention through out the film, not once do you lose interest. Its definitely not like other Hijack moves others have made, its actually engaging and keeps your attention. Its more like a suspense thriller, you keep wanting to know whats going to happen next. 


Technical Side: Special mention goes out to K.V Guhan for the use of different camera variations, its realistic. There is no music in the film,so the film is only about 1hr and 57 mins. :D 


Everything is so original like the: performances, cinematography, direction, norm costumes and many others. They are all the plus points of the film.


This movie IS a milestone in Telugu Cinema, so don't miss it! Go Watch it! Really hope Telugu directors make films like this :)

Payanam and Gaganam Trailers

Both of the trailers look intense! Payanam is Tamil while Gaganam is Telugu. Both star Nagarjuna and Prakash Raj with a supporting cast of Rishi, Poonam Kaur,Sana Khan,and Bramanandham.

Bilinguals are always interesting but when a bilingual film with no songs, no heroine to speak of, has both Prakashraaj and Nagarjuna in and is directed by Radhamohan, the same director that made Azhagiya Theeye, Mozhi and Abhiyum Naanum, the interest goes up at least 10 notches. Payanam/Gaganam trailer will be released on this Friday 14th January while the movie is set for release on February 4th.

Get ready for 'Payanam'

Producer Prakash Raj and director Radha Mohan have confirmed that their venture 'Payanam', which is an edge of the seat thriller based on a flight hijack incident, will hit the screens December.

At the same time, they rubbish reports which claim that the film is a true story based on the hijack of Flight IC 814. "Our movie certainly does not narrate any real incident," they say.

"The film is certainly not based on one particular hijacking episode. We researched various hijacks that have occurred over the years. I wanted to bring to the front the fact that terror can strike anywhere," Radha Mohan says.

On his part, Prakash Raj says, "Thanks to Radha Mohan and other members of the cast and crew, the movie has come out well. It will be yet another different attempt in our combination. Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for Payanam."

‘Ragada’ is the title of Nagarjuna’s flick

The working title of Nagarjuna, Anushka and Priyamani starrer, ‘Ragada’ directed by Veeru Potla and produced by D Sivaprasad Reddy on the banner of Sri Kamakshi Enterprises, was confirmed as the title of the film and the film’s logo was launched recently.

The film has music from Thaman S, cinematography is being taken care of by Sarvesh Murari, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, while action is by Vijay. Charmme is doing a special song in this movie.

Nagarjuna’s other projects on hand are – Rajanna, a film to be directed by Vijayendra Prasad with Rajamouli to take care of action scenes and another films would be from Venkat of RR Movie Makers with Srinivasa Reddy wielding the megaphone, while Nagarjuna’s ‘Gaganam’ is awaiting the producer’s nod for the announcement of release date.

It is a surprise that Nagarjuna is experimenting with the film, with no duets and no heroine opposite him and it seems the film is based on a flight hijack drama.
